Comparing the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer & Grand Wagoneer

The Wagoneer nameplate has returned to the Jeep lineup and with it comes an abundance of Jeep’s stellar performance and heritage, along with a healthy dose of luxury to boot! While the two may look similar from the outside, there are a number of ways these two SUVs deliver a different—yet exceptional—experience. Read on, with London’s own Oxford Dodge, to learn more about the differences between the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.

Built on the same platform, with an equally rugged exterior and a similar interior layout, the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are incredibly similar at first glance. Of course, the closer you look the more differences—some subtle, some not so subtle—you’ll find. Both of these 3-row SUVs offer LED lighting, while inside you can choose between 2nd row captain’s seats or a bench seat, taking both models from 7 to 8 passengers in an instant. Inside, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer both offer leather seating inside their incredibly roomy cabins, though the materials found in the Grand Wagoneer go a step above—including the beautiful American Walnut wood trim that pays homage to the wood panelling found on the exterior of the original Jeep Wagoneer. And while both models offer access to the advanced Uconnect 5 infotainment system, the Wagoneer’s standard centre touch screen and digital dash pales in comparison to the 75-inches worth of display screens found in the top trim of the Grand Wagoneer.

Off-road performance is synonymous with the Jeep brand, a trait that continues with both the 2022 Wagoneer and the 2022 Grand Wagoneer. The former is powered by a 5.7-litre, naturally aspirated V8 engine utilizing the E-Torque mild hybrid system, while the latter takes advantage of a 6.4-litre, naturally aspirated V8 for even more power. Of course, that’s in addition to three available 4x4 systems and the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System, making both of these Jeep models more than capable of escorting you on any adventures you can imagine!
