The standard 2025 Ram 1500 engine option is a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine with an eTorque Mild Hybrid System and an eight-speed automatic transmission system. Sporting 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque (plus 90 lb.-ft. of launch torque), this engine has plenty of power for the average truck enthusiast. This engine has a maximum towing capacity of 3,674 kg (8,100 lbs.).

3.0L Hurricane I6 Engine 

Standard on the Sport, Rebel, and Laramie trims and available on Tradesman and Big Horn models is a 3.0L Hurricane I6 engine. This engine upgrades performance to 420 hp and 469 lb.-ft. of torque. Utility-wise, the 2025 Ram 1500 has a maximum towing capacity of 5,243 kg (11,560 lbs.) when equipped with this engine.  

3.0L T6 Hurricane High-Output Engine 

The most powerful engine option available for the 2025 Ram 1500 is a 3.0L T6 High-Output Engine, which comes standard on Limited, Limited Longhorn, and Tungsten models. Sporting 540 hp and 521 lb.-ft. of torque, this engine is perfect for performance enthusiasts. This engine’s maximum towing capacity is 4,872 kg (10,740 lbs.).
